Starting from a template
A template saves you the setup. Devices, angles, background, floor shadow and camera are already in place, and for animations the entrances, camera move and length too. All that is left is swapping what sits on the displays.
Where templates live#
All templates are public under templates, no account needed. Signed in, you also find them in the top bar under “Vorlagen” (templates). A switch separates “Bilder” (images) and “Animationen” (animations).
A project from a template#
- Open templates and choose between images and animations.
- Click a template. Without an account, you are asked to create one.
- Showoff creates a new project in your organization from it and opens it in the editor.
- Swap the screenshots on the devices for your own, see Screens and media.
From “Neues Projekt”, the entry “Vorlage wählen” (choose template) takes you to the same place.
Note
The scene is copied, not linked. If we change a template later, your project stays as it is. And nothing you change in your project ever ends up in the template.
Image or animation#
An image template becomes a still, an animation becomes a film. That then applies to the whole project and cannot be switched, just like an empty start.
No titles#
Templates carry no name and no description. They show themselves through their picture, rendered from the actual scene. What you see is exactly what arrives in the editor.
