Working on a scene together

Every change goes out immediately to everyone who has the project open. That is why there is no save button, and nobody has to wait for anyone else.

Who is here#

The top of the right-hand column shows the others’ profile pictures, each with a colored ring. You see their pointer on the stage in the same color. That way you know who is touching that device over there. The tiles in “Meine Projekte” show the pictures of whoever is working in a project right now as well.

Saved#

Next to the pictures you see the connection state. “Gespeichert” (saved) means everything is on the server. “Verbinde …” means the connection is being set up. “Keine Verbindung” means it is gone.

Without a connection#

Without a connection the editor locks the stage until it is back. Otherwise whatever you did in the meantime would be lost on reconnecting. It retries on its own. Going back and exporting work without a network too.

Undo in a team#

Undo only takes back your own steps. Whatever the others changed stays.

Playing together#

When someone starts playback in a film, it runs for everyone and the playhead follows. Whoever is drawing areas for auto-motion at that moment is left alone.
