Organizations and members

In Showoff everything lives in an organization, that is projects, folders and their media libraries. Working alone, you use your own. As a team, you share one.

Create an organization#

You create an organization in the account menu at the top right, with a name and an address. The address later sits at the front of every link to your projects, for example showoff.dev/my-company.

Invite members#

  1. Open EinstellungenOrganisation.
  2. Click “Mitglied einladen” (invite member).
  3. Enter an email address and a role. Several invitations at once work too.
  4. The invitation arrives by email. Whoever accepts it is a member.

Pending invitations are listed below with their status. You can withdraw them, send them again or delete them.

Roles#

Role What it may do
Besitzer (owner) Everything. Only owners change roles and manage admins.
Admin Manages members, invitations and billing, and may change access to any project they can see.
Mitglied (member) Works on every project they may see and creates their own.

Note

Owners and admins, too, only see a restricted project if they are on its list. A role is not a master key, see Access to projects and folders.

Several organizations#

You can be a member of several organizations, for example your own and a client’s. You switch in the account menu. Projects do not move along, every organization has its own.

Under EinstellungenOrganisation you also change the organization’s name and upload a logo.
